General Election

A small number of parents have expressed concerns about the school being used as a polling station on Thursday. I would like to assure you that we always take the safety of pupils very seriously and the wooden gates from the car park to the playground are routinely locked throughout the school day.  Members of the public coming to vote during the school day will only be able to enter through the front gates.  We have security guards on the car park and access to the polling station is through the Nursery entrance.  The only room that can be accessed is the main nursery room and that is locked off from the rest of school.  At no point do members of the public interact with children from this school.  I hope that this reassures you but, if you are planning to keep your child off school on Thursday due to security concerns, please let the class teacher or a member of office staff know before then so that it can be recorded appropriately in the register.  Thank you for your support with this matter.
